Auckland

Today I arrived in Auckland, a big city where I'll stay one night. Yesterday I went to Coromandel, sea sun and white beaches. Tomorrow I go to the north of the north island (bay of Islands and Cape Reinga). The weather is great, sun sun sun, and I'll stay there for a couple of night to enjoy the white beaches and I wanna make a cruise there. Last week I've seen the mud pool, geysers and all these volcanic activity in Rotorura, amazing! And I climbed the Mount Maunganui (it's only a small hill but the view was great!) I need some exercise before I do the Tongariro crossing (a walk for 17 km) I'm gonna tramp this track when I go south again. It's a crossing over volcanos/mountains, and really exhausted. I met some boys from Israel who did the crossing some days ago, but the weather was terrible, I asked them for the pictures but they took only a few, because their fingers were frozen and couldn't press the butten for taking the photos :) I met them in Taupo (and they had a car) so went to the big Huka falls (water falles and the crater of the moon, steam is coming out from the ground, really weird. Now I'm gonna exploror Auckland and find a food shop.. See you!

Hey Hilde,

Great sights, glad to hear you are enjoying yourself. We envy you for seeing the North island, anyway show us your pictures when you get home. We saw four whales and Arthur swam with the dolphins too, he was excited about it. The last three weeks here in Sumner, we try to make the most of it. I'm actually really looking forward to go home again and tell your family about you, how about that?
Have a great time and take care of yourself,

Marleen
